❝ it must be exhausting always rooting for the anti-hero ❞ characterization notes: jaime is played as a chaotic mishmash of the television adaptation and its novel source material. for the most part, i prefer to follow the plot/events of the first six or seven seasons of game of thrones while utilizing his book age and fleshed out backstory with other assorted book elements thrown in here and there. and while i use icons of nikolaj coster-waldau, please use your imagination and assume that he has green eyes and looks more like an 18th century french aristocrat vs the way too modernized look they gave him. ncw deserved to have his own bad party city wig, gdit. visual & aural: early thirties. pale, tanned complexion. tall, standing at about 6'3"-6'4"ish (192-195 cm). lean, muscular build. strong, sharp jawline. his nose has been broken at least once. vivid cat-green eyes. curly golden blonde hair. missing his right hand and wrist, often wears a faux gold hand over the stump. generally regarded by pov characters in the books as having a striking, beautiful appearance. speaks with an elegant westerosi accent, which would sound vaguely british-like to non-asoiaf characters. magic use: go for it! the a song of ice and fire universe is rife with magic and high fantasy elements like dragons, sorcery, and ice zombies. magical nonsense and fantastical shenanigans are always welcome. using telepathy & mind-reading abilities on this character: sure, just give me a heads up first! he's strong-minded/willed, but has no mental fortifications against telepathic abilities. physical violence & killing this character: absolutely, it's a staple part of canon! be aware that in spite of being down a hand, that jaime can be a very dangerous man. he was knighted young and spent the majority of his life as a sworn member of an elite brotherhood of sentinels. he is by no means infallible or incapable of making mistakes, but he is also not an easy opponent. no thanks to killing him atm, but injuring him is welcome with a heads up and some discussion when it comes to any major injuries. ic triggers: fire, torture, sexual violence, honor/vows, and the madness of king aerys ii. has been known to backhand assholes masquerading as knights named ronnet connington for insulting brienne of tarth. physical affection & flirting: go for it, but he may not be too receptive of it (or know what to do with it). he will be oblivious to any advances at worst and terrible at flirting back at best. the man oozes charm, but the charm is a lie on the shipping front; a grand smokescreen to how genuinely inexperienced he is. shipping: all genders/sexes are welcome! open to castmates from the vast asoiaf universe, crosscanon, crossmedium, ocs, etc. jaime's only canon sexual experience is with his twin sister, so he's incredibly inexperienced in many, many regards. game for anything, though i ❤ brienne, rhaegar, arthur dayne, daenerys, margaery, martells, targaryens, and pre-canon (or modern au) lysa tully. my only hard nos atm are aerys ii, viserys, robb stark, cersei, other lannisters, and underaged characters. in regards to cersei, i'm happy to play out the post-relationship drama, but would rather not thread out the twincest itself. kink list: coming soon! warnings: jaime was involved in an incestuous relationship with his twin sister and fathered three children off of her. i prefer not to play this toxic pairing out, however it would be incredibly ooc of me to dismiss it entirely, so please be aware that while i do not hold it in high regards, jaime does/did and mentions of incest in narration are likely. those three children all died horrific deaths with two having been poisoned and the third having committed suicide, so mentions of child loss in narration are also possible. please also be aware that jaime is an amputee, having lost his right hand and wrist early on in the series and has been known to refer to himself using very ableist language and speak negatively of his disability. seeking: open to anything and everything — gen, shipping, conflict, angst, whatever shenanigans you've got! crosscanon, crossmedium, and ocs welcome! happy to throw things at the wall to see if they stick. au preferences: give me canon divergences, timey-wimey nonsense, modern/future aus, mashups with other canons — whatever you want to try out!
